Services Offered:

Talk Therapy, Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprogramming (EMDR), Thought Field Therapy (TFT), and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Shamanic Reiki

Therapy is a collaborative process in which the therapist provides a supportive and non-judgmental space for individuals to freely and openly express themselves. Therapy provides the space to foster an individual’s innate capacity to change and to reach greater states of authenticity. Within a supportive therapeutic environment, individuals can openly explore past, present, and future and make changes leading to lasting transformation and growth. In collaboration, goals and personalized strategies are set to ensure needs and aspirations are met. Each individual is the expert in their own life, and therapy can provide guidance and support along that path. My goal is not only to help individuals understand themselves at a deeper level, but also to empower the skills and insights necessary to create positive change outside of the therapy room. Individual therapy sessions are typically 45 minutes, once per week, and held virtually. Shamanic Reiki is provided as a separate service outside of therapy.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) is an evidenced-based treatment approach effective in treating a variety of concerns, including post-traumatic stress disorder, childhood trauma, anxiety, phobias, distressing life events, relationship patterns, and more. During an EMDR session, we work together to create a safe and supportive environment where you can re-process past experiences to reduce their emotional intensity and allow for healing and transformation. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation, such as tapping back and forth on your shoulders or listening to alternating sounds, to support reprocessing.

One of the key benefits of this approach is its ability to not only address symptoms but to also delve deeper into their root causes. Through this, you are able to develop new insights, perspectives, and coping strategies, leading to long-lasting positive changes. EMDR also aids with the integration of positive internal and external resources, helping to cultivate your strengths and promote a sense of empowerment.

When utilizing EMDR within a holistic framework, I recognize that traumatic or difficult experiences affect not only our thoughts and emotions but also our sense of self at a deeper level.  Together, we explore the underlying meaning behind your experiences, delve into the core essence of who you are, and tap into your innate resilience and inner resources.

The process can help you reconnect with your inner wisdom, regain balance, and reclaim your strength and joy. My approach reaches beyond the clinical techniques of EMDR. I believe true healing is a multifaceted journey going beyond surface-level symptoms. I acknowledge the importance of integrating other methods that align with your individual needs. This may include mindfulness practices, somatic experiencing, guided visualization, breathing techniques, and other therapeutic tools that enhance your healing process. Shamanic reiki

Shamanic reiki blends spiritual traditions of shamanism with energy healing techniques of reiki. This form of healing can promote spiritual growth, deepen your connection with yourself and others, release energetic blockages, and re-establish the flow of your energy. It supports your natural ability to heal yourself, physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Each session is tailored to you and your needs and is an hour in length. Sessions are held virtually and can include spiritual journeying, expanded connections with Earth, and collaborative work through to deepen the effect of the energy. Shamanic reiki services are not combined with therapy. This is a stand-alone service that can be requested for clients who are not in therapy with Dr. Huff.
